Childhaven Children's Home - Jim Wright, Executive Director
In 1948, interested Christians purchased a property that housed the once known Alabama Odd Fellows Home Orphange. Since that time, the tradition of caring has been a way of life at Childhaven. The campus now includes seven large resdential cottages, a full size gymansium, full size auto-body/woodworking shop, a pool and the Director's residence. The property also includes the original 250 acre farm land, which is in full production. The Childhaven ministry operates seven different programs which include Residential Care; Foster Care; a Transitional Living Program (Vocational/Technical Training); Independent Living; College Program; the Genesis Project and now a Family Care program. Their goal is to bring every child into a lifelong relationship with God, through His Son Jesus Christ, by meeting their every need. |
